Suzuki is working on a new generation of the S-Cross. The SUV has been spied without camouflage at a production plant in Hungary. Suzuki will be unveiling the new S-Cross officially on November 25th and they have already started teasing the new SUV. Here, we have some new images of the S-Cross.
The S-Cross is finished in a nice shade of Orange that looks more like a Bronze colour. The exterior of the 2022 S-Cross is all new. Where the current S-Cross looked like a crossover, the new one seems more like a SUV. There are also some hints of XL6 n the front-end.
There are new LED headlamps that are now expected to get Matrix technology. In it, there are individual LEDs that can turn on and off, independent of each other. There is a camera mounted in front of the vehicle which can detect oncoming traffic and then the computer can turn off the individual LEDs. This means that the oncoming drivers will not get dazzled.

On the sides, there is thick plastic cladding, new alloy wheels and turn indicators mounted on the outside rearview mirrors. At the rear, there are new clear lens split tail lamps which will use LEDs hopefully. There is a chrome slat that connects the rear tail lamps. There is also a redesigned bumper, faux skid plate, a rear spoiler and a rear wiper with a washer.
Then we come to the interior, this is the first time that the interior of the 2022 S-Cross has been spotted. As we can see, quite a few pieces of equipment have been carried over from the previous S-Cross. The door pads look similar, It has the same leather-wrapped multi-function steering wheel and air conditioning vents. As of now, we do not know whether Suzuki will use a new touchscreen infotainment system or not. But we do know that either way, it will come with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. It will come with a panoramic sunroof, automatic climate control, push-button to start/stop, cruise control and much more.
For the engine, we expect Suzuki to offer the new-gen S-Cross with a 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol engine that produces 127 bhp of max power and 235 Nm of peak torque. It is offered with a 4-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. However, we are hoping that Suzuki will finally upgrade to a 6-speed torque converter gearbox.
The higher variants also come with Suzuki’s AllGrip all-wheel-drive system. The lower variants might use the 1.5-litre, four-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine. It produces 104 bhp of max power and 138 Nm of peak torque. Suzuki might also upgrade their 12V hybrid system to a 48V one.
