Gurugram police books Michael Schumacher in a fraud case!

Shafali Agarwal, a resident of Chattarpur Mini Farm accused F1 racer Michael Schumacher of being involved in fraud. Along with him Russian tennis star Maria Sharapova and 11 others were also accused of fraud.

Shafali complained that she had booked an apartment in a project named Sharapova. In that project, a tower was named after Schumacher also. The project was supposed to get completed in 2016 but it was never started, according to the complaint.

She says that these international celebrities are a part of fraud because they were part of the promotion that was done for the project. Earlier, Shafali had filed a complaint in Gurugram court against M/S Realtech Development and Infrastructure (INDIA) Pvt. Ltd, other developers, Sharapova and Schumacher for duping her of around Rs 80 lakh.

Michael Schumacher, however, had an accident while skiing in 2013, and was in coma till June 2014. Since then, he has been under treatment and private rehabilitation.

In court, Shafali said that she and her husband booked a residential apartment in a project that was named after Sharapova. The project was located in Sector 73, Gurugram. The couple invested in the project for their apartment but the project was never delivered.

The complaint says, “We came to know about the project through advertisements and reached out to the company management after pictures of the project and a lot of false promises were made,” She also said that Sharapova had visited the site and promised the opening of a tennis academy and sports store.

Shafali’s complaint also said,  “It was mentioned in the brochure that she is promoting the project, and she also made false promises, had dinner parties with the buyers, and all this was done for the project, which never took off,”

An FIR has been filed under Sections 34 (common intention), 120-B (criminal conspiracy), 406 (criminal breach of trust) and 420 (cheating) of the IPC at the Badshahpur police station. Inspector Dinkar, SHO of the police station said, “As per the court order, the FIR has been registered and we are reviewing the matter. The probe is on,” As of now, neither Maria Sharapova nor Michael Schumacher has commented on the case.

Ferrari Enzo

The Enzo Ferrari is one of the most iconic Ferraris. It was named after the founder of the company “Enzo Ferrari”. It was powered by a naturally aspirated, 6.0-litre V12 that produces 651 bhp of max power and 657 Nm of peak torque. Reportedly, it is priced at around $2.6 Million Dollars. You can consider FXX as a track-only version of the Enzo Ferrari. The Italian manufacturer bumped up the engine displacement to 6.3-litres so it now produces 800 hp of max power and 686 Nm of peak torque. It had a limited production run just like the Enzo. It now costs $2.8 Million Dollars.

Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Wagen

Michael Schumacher also owns a C63 AMG Wagen. It comes with a 6.2-litre V8 petrol engine and he has used it for a good 1.52 lakh kilometres. According to media reports, this car is currently on sale.
