The Compass that we see in the video is of the previous generation. So, it should be safe to assume that the video has not been shot recently. It is the Limited 4×2 variant that we see here in the video and as the salesperson also explains. However, the model that we see in the video is now discontinued and has been replaced by a new generation.
The Facelift of the Jeep Compass was launched on January 27th. It came with a new exterior and more importantly a much-improved interior. There are now new LED Daytime Running Lamps with LED headlamps are much sleeker than before, the 7-slat grille has also been revised for 2021 model, the size of the air dam has also been increased and there is a new bumper also. The fog lamp housing has also been updated and Jeep now also gives an updated new design for the alloy wheels.
Coming to the interior is where we see big changes. There is a completely new dashboard layout and a new 10.1-inch FCA touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto, OTA updates and Apple CarPlay. The AC vents have been shifted to below the infotainment screen and are now slimmer. The dashboard gets double-stitched leather inserts and there is a new three-spoke steering wheel. Jeep now also offers a digital instrument cluster on the higher variants.
There are no mechanical changes to the SUV. So, it continues to get the 2.0-litre Multijet 2 diesel engine that is capable of producing 170 PS of max power and a peak torque output of 350 Nm. It is offered with a 6-speed manual gearbox or a 9-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. Then there is the 1.4-litre Multiair turbocharged petrol engine that produces 163 PS of max power and a peak torque output of 250 Nm.
