Hardik Pandya shares emotional Jeep Compass video in memory of his father

Hardik Pandya is one of the youngest and most successful cricket players in India. He is one of the strongest members of the Indian cricket team. We already know that he has a number of exotic vehicles such as the Mercedes-AMG G63, Lamborghini Huracan EVO, Land Rover Range Rover, Audi A6 and some others. Recently, the cricketer shared a heartwarming video of his dad taking a surprise delivery of the Jeep Compass. Hardik Pandya’s father Himanshu Pandya died of a cardiac arrest at the age of  71 on January 16th. The video has been shared on Twitter and Instagram.

In the video, we can see Himanshu Pandya is observing the Compass by Jeep. We can hear him speak that he likes the colour, but still he looks a bit unsure until Hardik breaks the news that it is his car over the video call. Hardik said in the tweet “Knowing you are not here makes me cry ! But seeing you smile like a kid who got his candy makes me smile and remember you with so much joy ! Love you dad”

The Compass that we see in the video is of the previous generation. So, it should be safe to assume that the video has not been shot recently. It is the Limited 4×2 variant that we see here in the video and as the salesperson also explains. However, the model that we see in the video is now discontinued and has been replaced by a new generation.

The Facelift of the Jeep Compass was launched on January 27th. It came with a new exterior and more importantly a much-improved interior. There are now new LED Daytime Running Lamps with LED headlamps are much sleeker than before, the 7-slat grille has also been revised for 2021 model, the size of the air dam has also been increased and there is a new bumper also. The fog lamp housing has also been updated and Jeep now also gives an updated new design for the alloy wheels.
Coming to the interior is where we see big changes. There is a completely new dashboard layout and a new 10.1-inch FCA touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto, OTA updates and Apple CarPlay. The AC vents have been shifted to below the infotainment screen and are now slimmer. The dashboard gets double-stitched leather inserts and there is a new three-spoke steering wheel. Jeep now also offers a digital instrument cluster on the higher variants.

There are no mechanical changes to the SUV. So, it continues to get the 2.0-litre Multijet 2 diesel engine that is capable of producing 170 PS of max power and a peak torque output of 350 Nm. It is offered with a 6-speed manual gearbox or a 9-speed torque converter automatic gearbox.
