Maruti Suzuki Swift is one of the most popular hatchbacks among modifiers. It is one of those cars which has started vehicle modification trend in Indian market. Swift has always been one of those hatchback which is loved by family audience for its fuel economy and cost of maintenance while the youth loves it for the driving pleasure and modification potential. Over the years we have seen several modified examples of Maruti Swift and here we have a Maruti Swift which is modified by Assam’s Garage 69 and looks beautiful.
Several modifications have been made to the car to give it an aggressive and sporty look. Starting at the front, the stock bumper and grille on this Swift has been slightly tweaked for better looks. All the chrome elements on the car has been blacked out to go well with the overall look of the car. The headlights get a white coloured eye lid to give it an aggressive stance.

Body kit has been installed on the bumper and the lower part also gets a bumper lip spoiler. These elements are finished in a combination of white and black. Fog lamps on this Swift are projector units. Coming to the side profile, you notice a side skirt and the car is sitting lower than the stock version. It now gets Blitz Japan ZZR coilovers and it also gets sporty looking 17 inch aftermarket alloy wheels.
Owner of this Maruti Swift has also gone for manual sunroof from Webasto and large roof mounted spoiler is also installed. At the rear, the clear lens aftermarket tail lamps and a customised bumper. These are similar to what we have seen in Swift RS variant that is sold abroad. The exhaust tips can be seen in the pictures and unlike other cars that we have featured in the past, these are working.
The car gets full sytem exhaust with Borla Thumper, Hpi Japan megamax universal Air filter, Dixcel Japan ES type brake pads and low profile soft compound tyres. It is not known whether the owner has customised the interiors of this Maruti Swift. However, the work done on the exterior looks impressive and makes this car a head turner for sure. it definitely looks sporty but, no changes have been made to the engine of this Swift.
Maruti launched Swift hatchback with two engine options. It used to get a diesel and a petrol engine. The diesel variant of the hatchback was later discontinued due to new emission norms. The petrol unit of offer was a 1.2 litre naturally aspirated engine that came with manual and AMT gearbox options. The modified Swift in the pictures is a petrol variant. The engine generates 83 Ps and 113 Nm of peak torque.
This year Maruti introduced 2021 version of Swift with a 1.2 litre DualJet engine. The engine generates 7 Ps more power than the older version while the torque figure remains the same. Maruti Suzuki Swift is one of the most popular hatchbacks in the segment and it competes with cars like Hyundai Grand i10 Nios in the segment.
