Commenting on the occasion Mr. Sohinder Gill, CEO, Hero Electric India said,

Hero Electric is determined to deliver the best of electric two-wheeler mobility options to eco-conscious customers who prefer smarter mobility solutions. The all-new Dash is our latest and most lucrative offering that offers style, practicality, performance with a powerful Li-Ion battery that is portable and reliable, and I am certain this will appeal to people of all age groups. As always, we will continue to bring in new and better products and are always listening to customer feedback.

Hero Electric has also launched the extended range versions of the Optima and NYX ER, two other electric scooters that are a lot more powerful than the Dash. While the Optima gets a range of 110 kilometers, the NYX gets a range of 100 kilometers. These ranges make these electric scooters practical for everyday commuters, who could take advantage of the much lower running costs. While the Optima ER is priced at Rs. 68,721, ex-showroom, the NYX ER is priced at Rs. 69,754. These scooters offer a much higher range than the Ather S340 but are not as flashy looking nor do they offer the same kind of outright performance and features. For those on a budget though, these electric scooters make a lot of sense as they’re a lot cheaper than the Ather S340, which starts from over Rs. 1.2 lakhs. These scooters have top speeds of 42 Kmph, which is intentionally limited to conserve the battery. Both scooters uses 48V battery packs that can be charged in 4-5 hours. Hero Electric offers a 3 year warranty on both the scooters and their battery packs.
