Hero MotoCorp motorcycles & scooters coming to the Auto Expo 2018: Xtreme 200R to Xpulse

The world’s largest two-wheeler company, Hero MotoCorp has recently unveiled their new flagship, the Xtreme 200R. At the Auto Expo 2018, the brand will showcase a few new motorcycles that will be launched in the market later. We bring you all the motorcycles and scooters from the Hero MotoCorp India stand.

Hero Xtreme 200R

Hero revealed the Xtreme 200R just before the 2018 Auto Expo. The bike will go on sale in about 3 months from now. The Xtreme 200R is powered by a 200cc, four-stroke engine that is air-cooled. The engine has been developed in-house and develops a maximum of 18 Bhp and 17.1 Nm.

The bike will be the Hero’s flagship product when launched in India. The Xtreme 200R can do 0-60 km/h in 4.6 seconds while the top speed that it can achieve is 114 km/h. The bike gets disc brakes on both the wheels. There is a telescopic shock absorber at the front and a monoshock at the rear.

Hero XPulse

Hero will also showcase its adventure bike XPulse. The bike was globally revealed in 2017 EICMA show. It is expected that the new adventure bike will be launched this year. The XPulse will get many off-road friendly features like long travel suspension, high ground clearance and high seating position. The bike will be powered by the same 200cc engine that powers the Xtreme 200S but it is expected to be re-tuned. The bike will be most affordable adventure bike in India when it is launched and is expected to be priced around Rs. 1.2 lakh.

125cc scooter

Hero is planning to launch a new 125cc scooter to gain a share of the market in the booming scooter market. Hero is developing the product on its own and it is expected to be launched in September 2017. The scooter is being developed at Hero’s Centre of Innovation and Technology, Jaipur.  The new scooter is expected to be based on the Dare concept that Hero showcased in 2016 Auto Expo. When launched, it will take on the likes of Honda Activa 125 and Suzuki Access in the market.

XF3R

Hero announced that the HX250R project is shutting down but they will continue to work on the 300cc motorcycle. Hero showcased the 300cc concept at the 2016 Auto Expo in the form of XF3R and it caught a lot of eyes in the event.

In 2018 Auto Expo, the XF3R is expected to be near production version. We may production version body design and Hero may also reveal the engine specifications. This will be the biggest displacement bike ever with Hero brand on it. The sporty looking bike has elements like under seat exhaust system, single-side swing arm among others.

Electric scooter

Hero’s electric two-wheeler arm known as Hero Electric is planning to showcase a new product on 2nd February. Hero MotoCorp will have a range of electric scooters that will be launched in the recent future in the market. We may see an electric scooter with high-performance motor and with the longest range in the Indian market.

Maxi scooter

With international manufacturers bringing in their maxi-scooters to the Indian market, Hero may showcase something based on the ZIR concept. It was showcased at the 2016 Auto Expo and had a 150cc engine. Hero may show a near-production version of the scooter at the Auto Expo. It will go against the likes of Suzuki Burgman that is expected to launch soon in the market.
