Hero MotoCorp released a teaser video of the XPulse, which suggests that the launch is not too far away. The bike is expected to be ready for the Indian market by mid-2018. The XPulse follows the same philosophy of the Impulse behind the development but it is bigger and more powerful than the now discontinued model.

The video shows the XPulse browsing through the beautiful countryside roads. It also reveals the partitioned headlamp of the bike, which seems to have LED lamps and a big visor above it. The tail lamp also is full LED and the bike gets disc brakes on both the wheels. Apart from that, there is telescopic front suspension and a rear mono shock.

The XPulse is expected to be powered by a new 200cc engine that has been developed in-house. The engine will produce around 20 Bhp and 18 Nm but the lightweight of just 140 kg will keep the power-to-ratio high. A 5-speed transmission will transfer the power to the rear wheel.

Hero wanted to target the entry-level adventure bike market, which is currently being served by Royal Enfield Himalayan solely. The Hero XPulse is expected to be priced around Rs. 1.2 lakh. The bike will get a high seating position and the riders will be able to stand on the footpegs easily.

As an adventure model, features like ABS and fuel injection are expected to be present in the bike. Hero will showcase the upcoming model at the Auto Expo 2018 and launch will follow by the middle of next year. It’ll be India’s most affordable adventure bike.
