Honda Activa 6G Smart scooter launched with new features; priced Rs 80,537 for the top variant

Honda Motorcycles & Scooters India (HMSI) has introduced a new premium variant of the Activa 6G scooter, named the ‘Smart’ variant. This top-end offering comes with keyless operation and alloy wheels, providing a more advanced and premium experience to the most successful scooter in India.

The Activa 6G Smart variant is priced at INR 80,537 (approximately $1,100) which is around INR 3,500 (approximately $47) more than the Deluxe variant. The new version, called Activa H-Smart, comes with advanced safety features like car-like smart key that lets riders to easily locate the vehicle and will be available at a starting price of INR 74,536 (approximately $1,000) (ex-showroom Delhi).

Honda Motorcycles & Scooters India (HMSI) has launched a new version of its popular Activa scooter, named the Activa H-Smart. The new version will be available in three trims – Standard, Deluxe, and Smart – priced at INR 74,536, INR 77,036, and INR 80,537 (ex-showroom) respectively. The Activa H-Smart is the first two-wheeler in India to be compliant with On-board Diagnostics (OBD2) which will monitor the real-time driving emission levels. The device will constantly monitor key parts for meeting emission standards such as the catalytic converter and oxygen sensors.

The new Activa H-Smart gets five new patented applications, including Smart Unlock, Smart Start, Smart Find, and Smart Safe, which are available in the Smart Key variant. The Smart Unlock feature allows the rider to lock/unlock the handlebars, storage area, and fuel filler cap without the need of using a physical key. The Smart Find feature allows the rider to locate the scooter using the smart key. Smart Start allows the rider to start the scooter’s engine two meters away from the vehicle, and Smart Safe prevents vehicle theft using a Mapped Smart ECU.

The new Activa H-Smart also comes with a bigger wheelbase, long footboard area, new passing switch, DC LED headlamp, and a new design for alloy wheels. The Smart variant also features 12-inch alloy wheels and keyless operation.
