What does the Honda Amaze cost to maintain? This video explains

Amaze is the entry level offering from Japanese car manufacturer Honda. The compact sedan got a facelift  in 2018 and ever since then the Amaze has become the best seller for Honda. It is the second best selling compact sedan in the segment. First place is still occupied by Maruti Suzuki Dzire. In this case it is Honda Amaze.

The video starts with two animated characters – one is a person who is planning to buy Honda Amaze and the other character is the service department head from Honda. The buyer character wanted to know more about the service intervals, parts used, quality of work and cost of servicing. The service head explains each and every doubt that the customer had.

Starting with the service intervals, Honda Amaze needs to be serviced around 10,000 km or 12months whichever comes first. He also explains that during a periodic maintenance Honda does a complete checkup of the vehicle, parts, lubricants and washes it before handing the car back to the customer. Then he talks about the parts and quality of the parts used. Honda uses genuine parts which have good quality, durability and affordability.

Parts like coolant does not need replacement for 2,00,000 km or 10 years for petrol Amaze whereas in the diesel variant coolant has a life of 5 years or 1,00,000 kms. Similarly the fuel filter in petrol Amaze needs to replaced only after 1,20,000 kms. The brake fluid and the clutch fluid only needs replacement once in three years and Honda uses fully synthetic oils only for their cars.

Honda also offers service packages to its customers which available at all Honda showrooms across the country. They also offers services like Honda Quick Service and BP Xpress repair via select dealerships, where Honda cars gets periodic service within 3 hours and minor paint jobs in 4 hours respectively.

Honda Amaze also gets 3 year or unlimited Kms warranty and this can even be extended to 4 or 5 years. The average cost of maintenance for Honda Amaze Petrol will be around Rs 3,500 per year and for Diesel variants the cost would be Rs 4,900 per year.

Honda Amaze is available in two engine options. A 1.2 liter i-VTEC petrol with 88 Bhp-110 Nm and a 1.5 liter i-DTEC turbocharged diesel engine with 98.6 Bhp-200 Nm (manual)/80 Bhp-160 Nm (CVT automatic). Both engines are offered with manual and CVT automatic gearbox options.
