Tamil Nadu’s Coimbatore based Kitup! is a popular name among the people who love to modify their vehicles. Kitup! modifications help elevate the looks of a car by making visual changes to the outside and premium interiors on the inside. Here we have one such Kitup! modified Honda Amaze that looks sporty.
Starting from the front, this Amaze gets an all black treatment. The chrome from the front grille has been completely removed and it now gets a carbon fibre finish to it. The design of the bumper remains same but the air dam gets a mesh design and the fog lamp area now gets LED DRLs. The headlamps have been smoked out and gets projector headlamps.
Coming to the profile of the Amaze, it now gets sporty alloy wheels and the outside rear view mirror have been blacked out and get a carbon fibre finish to them. Apart from that no major changes are done to the side. The roof the car had also been blacked out to give it a contrasting look with the white paint job.
At the rear, the black treatment continues. The boot lid gets a carbon fibre finished strip between the tail lights with Honda logo in the middle and the tail lights have been replaced with an LED unit. The bumper at the rear is also untouched and houses the parking sensors. There is a small boot lip and a black colour spoiler at the rear.
The overall black treatment continues when it comes to the interiors. The Amaze now gets black leather seats which make the cabin more plush. The dash board also gets similar treatment. All the gloss black inserts have been replaced with carbon fibre finish to make it look more sporty. similar inserts can be seen on air-con vents, around infotainment system and steering wheel.
Honda Amaze is the best selling vehicle from Japanese manufacturer. It is available in both petrol and diesel engine options. Petrol version of the Amaze gets a 1.2L engine that produces 87 Bhp and 110 Nm of torque. Diesel Amaze gets 1.5L turbocharged engine that generates 80 Bhp and 160 Nm of peak torque. Both engines are offered with manual and CVT automatic gearbox options. Amaze is the only compact sedan in India to offer a CVT automatic option on diesel trim.
The Honda Amaze goes up against the likes of the Maruti Dzire, Ford Aspire, Hyundai Xcent, Volkswagen Ameo and the Tata Tigor. Shortly, Hyundai will launch the Aura, another compact sedan that’ll compete with the Amaze.
