Honda Brio variant details and five city prices

On September 27^th, Honda launched the Brio small car starting at Rs. 3.95 lakh for the base variant. Here we take a closer look at what each variant offers us and what their prices are across five major cities.

The Brio is powered by a 1.2-litre i-vtec petrol engine that is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. The petrol motor produces 87 bhp of max power and 109 Nm of max torque. The ARAI specified mileage of the Brio is 18.4 kmpl.

The Brio is more powerful than many of its rivals such as the new Maruti Swift, Toyota Liva, Hyundai i10 and Nissan Micra. The Brio has a peppy performance which is useful for city commuting. It looks small, compact and its rear is radically designed with an all-glass hatch that covers the 175-litre boot. This makes the car look quite unique. Let’s look at what each variant offers.

Brio EMT (Rs. 3.95 lakh)

The base variant E MT of the Brio doesn’t get features such as music system, airbags and keyless entry. The following are the features available in the E MT variant.

Brio SMT (Rs. 4.35 lakh)

The mid trim variant Brio S MT of the Brio gets all the features that the base model and additional features like body colored ORVM (outside rear view mirror), body colored outer door handles and full trim wheels.

Brio SMT (O) (Rs. 4.90 lakh)

Honda offers the Brio S (O) with all the features of the S MT variant and added safety features consisting of front driver i-SRS and Passenger SRS Airbags and ABS with EBD.

Brio VMT (Rs. 5.10 lakh)

The top-end variant V MT gets all the features of S (O) MT variant and in addition gets sporty alloy wheels, front fog lamps and silver inside door handles.
