Honda City, WR-V & Amaze Special Editions launched in India

Honda Car India has launched special editions for three of its models and named them slightly different. These are called the Honda City 20th Anniversary Edition, Honda Amaze Pride Edition and Honda WR-V Edge Edition. The special editions are priced at a slight premium and given the extra features, make for a fantastic purchase. These are based on different trim levels – let’s discuss each model separately as follows:

Honda City 20th Anniversary Edition

The edition is launched to commemorate 20 successful years for the Honda City in India. Changes are limited to the exteriors while owners will also get 1 month free subscription of Honda Connect feature. Exterior changes include

  • Trunk End Molding

Honda Amaze Pride Edition

Based on the S(O) MT version, the Amaze Pride Edition gets a lot of add-ons and will help bump up sales which are otherwise on a decline. Honda sold only 1415 units of the Amaze last month. In terms of safety, it gets rear parking sensors while the exteriors also get door edge garnish and pride edition emblem. List of new features on the interiors include

Honda WR-V Edge Edition

Honda’s second largest selling car gets a special edition based on the S trim level and demands a premium of Rs 23,000 over the regular model. It has three safety and two exterior changes. These are

  • Rear Camera with IRVM Display
  • Rear Parking Sensors
  • Honda Connect with 1 month free subscription
  • R16 Gunmetal finish multi spoke alloy wheels
  • Special edition edge emblem

There are no mechanical changes to the new models. They continue to be powered by the same engine options. The Amaze and WR-V get the same 1.2-litre petrol unit while the City comes with the same 1.5-litre petrol engine. The 1.5-litre Earth Dreams iDTEC engine does duty on all three models in the same – 98.6 Bhp-200 Nm – state of tune.
