Honda CR-V gets a MASSIVE Rs. 5 lakh discount: 7 lakhs cheaper than Toyota Fortuner 4×4 AT

The Japanese car manufacturer had come up with many discount offers on their models in the past couple of months and the recent one in them is on the Honda CR-V SUV. Honda is offering a huge discount of up to Rs 5 lakh on CR-V SUV. This offer makes Honda CR-V way more cheaper than the Toyota Fortuner 4X4.

The offer is valid only on the diesel variant of CR-V. The 2-wheel drive version gets a maximum discount of Rs 4 lakh and the 4WD version gets a maximum discount of 5 Lakh. This is a huge amount when considering the fact that CR-V is a luxury SUV and we don’t get to see such offers on high-end cars.  So if anyone is planning to buy a 2WD or 4WD diesel Honda CR-V, then this a great deal for them.

Apart from the discount Honda is also attractive finance and leasing options. Leasing options are available for three, four and five years for individuals and corporates. Tax benefits can also be availed on lease rentals.

Coming back to CR-V, Honda had launched the fifth generation of CR-V in Indian market last year. It is available in three variants – Petrol CVT 4×2, Diesel AT 4×2, Diesel AT 4×4. The petrol CVT 4×2 was priced at Rs 28.15 lakhs, Diesel AT 4×2 at Rs 30.65 lakh and the Diesel 4×4 was priced at Rs 32.75 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi.

Honda CR-V is available with two engine options – a 2.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine and for the first time a 1.6-litre turbocharged diesel. The 2.0-litre petrol engine produces 151 Bhp and 189 Nm of peak torque. The 1.6-Litre turbocharged diesel engine cranks out 118 Bhp and 300 Nm of torque and is paired with a 9-speed automatic gearbox.

The fifth-generation is now larger than before and is now available with 7 seats. However, only diesel CR-V owners will be able to opt for the 7 seat option as the petrol variant will be sold as a 5-seater. Changes include new automatic all-LED headlamps, 18-inch alloy wheels, electric tailgate, and a panoramic sunroof.

Honda CR-V competes with cars like Toyota Fortuner, Ford Endeavour, Mahindra Alturas G4 in the segment. The discount offer will hopefully help increase demand for this luxury SUV.
