Honda Elevate mid size SUV’s base trim: First walkaround video out

Honda is all set to launch its first-ever compact SUV, the Elevate, in the Indian market. The SUV was unveiled to the public a few months ago, and a national media drive for the SUV was also conducted in Udaipur last month. If you want to check out a quick first-drive review of the new Elevate, visit our website and also our YouTube channel. Production of the Honda Elevate has already started, and the car has begun reaching dealerships across the country. An official price announcement for the SUV is expected to occur sometime next month.

The base variant of the Honda Elevate has already arrived at a dealership, and we have a video that showcases what the car will come with. The video has been uploaded by the ManandCar007 YouTube channel. In this video, the vlogger takes a walkaround of the base SV variant of the Honda Elevate SUV. Honda will offer the Elevate SUV in SV, V, VX, and ZX trims. The SUV seen here is the base SV variant. The vlogger starts with the exterior and then moves inside. Even the base variant comes with LED projector headlamps and a chrome nose. However, the front grille does not receive a gloss finish, and the car lacks fog lamps. The lower skid plate is also finished in silver, similar to other variants.

Moving to the side profile, the SUV gets 16-inch steel rims, black claddings, body-colored ORVMs with integrated LED turn indicators, and body-colored door handles with request sensors on both the driver and co-passenger sides. The base variant even comes with a rear defogger, shark fin antenna, rear parking camera, and sensors. The boot space in the base variant remains the same at 458 liters. The rear seats also have a 60:40 split function. The tail lamp cluster combines LED and halogen bulbs, as seen in the higher variants. The vlogger then moves inside. The cabin features a beige and black dual-tone theme. There is no leatherette upholstery. Most of the parts are either wrapped in fabric or made from hard plastics.

Honda Elevate SV variant

The SV variant gets electrically adjustable ORVMs, four power windows, automatic climate control, push-button start/stop, a multi-function steering wheel, a slightly smaller touchscreen infotainment screen than the higher variants, USB chargers, a 12V socket, storage spaces, a handrest for the driver, and more. The base variant of the Honda Elevate is not too basic, as the manufacturer is offering a decent number of features even with the base trim. The base variant will definitely miss out on features like Honda Sensing, a 360-degree camera, an electric sunroof, and more.

Compared to other manufacturers in this segment, Honda is offering a decent number of features. Honda will offer the base variant only with a manual gearbox. It uses a 1.5-liter four-cylinder naturally-aspirated petrol engine that generates 121 PS and 145 Nm of peak torque. In terms of fuel efficiency, the ARAI-certified mileage stands at 15.31 kmpl with the manual transmission and 16.92 kmpl with the automatic option. Bookings for the Elevate have already started, and the waiting period has extended to four months.
