As for the specifics of the Honda Elevate, the model is yet to be launched. Honda Cars India has announced that the pricing for this hotly anticipated SUV will be unveiled in the first week of September. As of now, we know that this SUV will be available in four distinct trims: SV, V, VX, and ZX. The Elevate is Honda’s first global SUV produced in India, and it also marks the brand’s proper mid-size SUV in all of its years in the Indian subcontinent.
The Honda Elevate is one of the best-looking mid-size SUVs in the country. The new SUV features a fresh and contemporary design, both inside and out. Exterior highlights of the Honda Elevate include sleek all-LED headlamps, tail lamps, and fog lamps that lend a distinct character to the SUV. It also features a set of bold 17-inch machined alloy wheels, sturdy faux skid plates, and sleek roof rails. All of these design elements add to the macho stance of this forthcoming SUV.
On the inside, the Honda Elevate will come equipped with a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system that integrates wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The car will also get automatic climate control and a single-pane sunroof. Additionally, it will also come equipped with a wireless phone charger and a semi-digital instrument cluster. The SUV will also get a tan and black dual-tone interior combination, adding to its sophisticated persona.
In terms of safety, the Honda Elevate will come equipped with six airbags, ABS with EBD, parking sensors, and electronic stability control. The highlight, however, will be the Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) that provide an extra layer of security. Even though the Honda Elevate covers an extensive array of features, it is important to note that it falls slightly short compared to its close rival, the Kia Seltos.
Under the bonnet, the Honda Elevate will come powered by a potent 1.5-liter petrol engine that can churn out an impressive 121PS of power and 145Nm of torque. Buyers will be able to opt for either a smooth 6-speed manual transmission or a CVT gearbox. At the moment, the Elevate will only be offered with a naturally aspirated engine, but reports have suggested that Honda could launch a strong hybrid variant in the coming period.
As for the pricing of the Honda Elevate, it has been estimated that Honda could be launching this SUV with a starting price at around Rs 11 lakh (ex-showroom). Positioned to compete against the likes of the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, VW Taigun, and the upcoming Citroen C3 Aircross, the Elevate’s competitive pricing and feature-packed profile could make it a strong contender in the segment.
