Honda Cars India unveiled their upcoming mid-size SUV, the Elevate, in India earlier in June. With this all-new SUV, Honda aims to expand its portfolio in India, making it a highly anticipated product from the Japanese manufacturer. Recent online reports indicate that Honda held a meeting for dealers where they revealed the launch timeline and tentative prices for the upcoming SUV. According to these reports, the base variant of the Honda Elevate is expected to be priced at Rs 11 lakh. The Honda Elevate will compete with cars like the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos facelift, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, Volkswagen Taigun, Skoda Kushaq, and the upcoming Citroen C3 Aircross SUV in the segment.
According to Team-Bhp, Honda plans to officially launch the Elevate in the market during the festive season in September this year. The Elevate SUV is likely to be offered in four variants, with the base variant priced around Rs 11 lakh (ex-showroom). The top-end variant’s price is expected to match that of the top-end NA petrol IVT variant of the Hyundai Creta. Like other SUVs in this segment, the Hyundai Creta will be the main rival for the Honda Elevate. It’s important to note that the mentioned prices are not final, and the actual price of the SUV may differ at the time of the launch.
The front grille of the Honda Elevate exudes a bold and black finish. It is complemented by sleek headlamp housings that feature all-LED headlamps and daytime running LEDs. The front bumper adds a stylish touch with its triangular black housings for the LED fog lamps, along with body cladding and a silver faux skid plate, enhancing its overall aesthetic. Drawing inspiration from Honda’s global SUVs such as the Pilot and HR-V, the front fascia of the Honda Elevate maintains an upright and boxy design language. Its side profile showcases body cladding on the wheel arches and lower door panels, contributing to its rugged appearance. Additionally, the SUV’s visual appeal is heightened by the 17-inch machined alloy wheels, door-mounted rearview mirrors, and silver roof rails.

The Honda Elevate will feature dual-tone black and brown leather upholstery. Notable features include a 7-inch TFT screen integrated into the instrument console, a new 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, automatic climate control, a push start-stop button, a lane watch camera, six airbags, and Level-2 ADAS known as ‘Honda Sensing’.
Currently, the Honda Elevate will be offered with a single petrol engine option. It will be powered by a 1.5-liter four-cylinder naturally-aspirated engine shared with the Honda City. This engine delivers a maximum power output of 121 bhp and a peak torque output of 145 Nm. Buyers can choose between a 6-speed manual transmission or a CVT. Unfortunately, Honda is not offering a strong hybrid version of the Elevate, unlike some of its competitors such as Maruti and Toyota. Bookings for the Elevate SUV will officially start on July 3, and interested buyers can book their vehicles by visiting Honda dealerships across the country. The booking amount for the upcoming Honda Elevate will be Rs 21,000.
