Honda Scooters and Motorcycles India (HMSI) has just imported and sold 4 units of the Forza 300 maxi-scooter. Priced at Rs. 8.5 lakh, the Honda Forza 300 is easily India’s most expensive scooter. Here is a picture of the first delivery of the Honda Forza 300 to a customer in India.
As the picture indicates, the Forza 300 is a massive maxi-scooter, which is the biggest that money can buy in India currently. It is powered by a 279cc, liquid cooled, single cylinder four stroke engine that pumps out 24.8 Bhp of peak power at 7,000 rpm. Peak torque is rated at 27.5 Nm, and is produced at 5,250 rpm. As is the case with most automatic scooters, the gearbox is a CVT automatic unit, which ensures stress-free riding on city roads.
Given the amount of power this scooter makes and the wind protection it offers, it’ll be great fun on the highway as well. A tall windscreen, dual channel ABS, disc brakes on both alloy wheels, telescopic front forks, 12V charging socket, comfortable seating for two adults, massive under-seat storage, a 15 inch front wheel and a 14 inch rear wheel for good stability at higher speeds, and traction control are the key features of the Honda Forza 300.
The maxi-scooter’s performance figures are quite impressive, too. It can hit 100 Kph from standstill in about 11 seconds while top speed is about 130 Kph, which makes it the fastest scooter currently sold in India. Considering the fact that the Forza 300 weighs a hefty 182 kilograms, these figures are quite impressive. Ground clearance is pegged at 135 mm, and the wheelbase at 1,510 mm. This means that speed breakers and potholes will have to be handled with caution.
While Honda imported only 4 units, all of which are now sold, good demand has prompted the Japanese two wheeler giant to consider importing more later this year. In fact, Yadvinder Singh Guleria, Senior Vice President – Sales and Marketing, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd, has indicated that his company would import more units of the Euro-5 Forza 300 for sale in the Indian market after March 2020. So, if you are interested in this scooter, you need to get in touch with your nearest Honda BigWing dealership. Meanwhile here’s what Mr. Guleria said,
Encouraged by the excitement received from customers for Forza 300 displayed at Honda BigWing, Gurugram (which were pre-booked), Honda decided to introduce it in India. We are pleased to announce that we have delivered the first lot of 4 units to our customers. Moving forward, we will announce the Euro 5 compliant version in FY 2021.
