India’s largest scooter manufacturer – Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India will soon launch a brand new scooter in the market. Numerous pictures of the Honda Grazia have been clicked in India before the official launch. Honda Grazia is based on the concept of ‘Advanced Urban Scooter’ for the metropolitan cities and targets a younger base of customers.
The official booking for the scooter will start from October 25 at a booking amount of Rs. 2,000. The Grazia has been captured at a dealer stockyard and the deliveries are expected to start by early November.
The Grazia 125 is also based on the Activa 125. It gets raked front apron with body mounted wide headlamp and large turn indicators. The scooter has a very overpowering front. The scooter also gets a lot of creases, making it look quite muscular and add a sporty look to it.
The spy pictures also reveal the semi-digital instrument console. The Grazia will get an all-fibre body unlike the Activa 125, which gets a metal body. It will make the Grazia much lighter and much more fun to ride.
From the pictures, it can be seen that the cooter will get alloy wheels, front disc brake with Honda’s renowned Combi-Brake System (CBS), telescopic front forks and a dual paint scheme. The scooter also gets a small storage space on the floorboard. We can also expect a USB socket to keep the phones charged while riding.
The Grazia will be powered by the same 125cc, air-cooled engine as seen on the Activa 125. The motor develops a maximum of 8.5 Bhp at 6,500 rpm and a peak torque of 10.54 Nm. The scooter will compete with the likes of Vespa VX 125, Suzuki Access 125 and Mahindra Gusto 125. Aprilia may also launch a 125cc version of their scooter in the future to make the segment filled with choices. The Grazia is expected to be priced at around Rs. 65,000, ex-showroom.
