Honda Jazz Facelift TVC: Check it out

Honda has been teasing us with the pictures of BS6 Jazz premium hatchback for quite some time and they finally launched it in the market couple of days ago. Honda Jazz is a premium hatchback that competes with cars like Maruti Baleno, Hyundai Elite i20 and Tata Altroz in the segment. Price for the BS6 version of Honda Jazz now starts at Rs 7.49 lakh, ex-showroom and goes up to Rs 9.73 lakh, ex-showroom. It is available in V, VX and ZX trims. The ZX trim with the BS6 version is newly introduced. Honda has now released their official TVC for the updated Jazz hatchback that shows the car inside out.

The video has been shared by Honda cars India on their youtube channel. The updated Honda Jazz comes with couple of new features in comparison to the older version. Basic shape of the car in terms of design remains the same. It now offers an all LED headlamp and fog lamp. The bumper has been slightly revised and that gives it a much more sharper look at the front.

The Honda Jazz BS6 version has now become the first car in the segment to offer an electric sunroof. Apart from that it continues to offer all the other features that it used to before. Coming inside, the Honda Jazz continues to offer a spacious cabin for both passengers and luggage, gets touchscreen infotainment screen that supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It gets a multi function steering wheel with audio controls and cruise control on it. The whole dashboard gets a black theme with silver or brushed aluminium inserts at places.

Older or the BS4 version of the Honda Jazz was available with petrol and diesel engine options. The BS6 version however comes with a petrol engine only. The 1.5 litre diesel engine has been discontinued. The petrol engine used in the Jazz is a 1.2 litre naturally aspirated unit that generates 90 PS of peak power and 110 Nm of peak torque. The petrol engine is available with a manual and CVT gearbox options. The CVT version also gets paddle shifters and is the only car in the segment to offer that. Also, the electric sunroof that the Jazz offers is a major draw, and a feature that the competition – consisting of the Hyundai Elite i20, Maruti Baleno, Toyota Glanza and Tata Altroz – does not offer.
