Honda launches Privilege Edition of the Amaze

Honda Cars India has launched a special edition of its sub-compact sedan – Amaze. Honda calls it Privilege Edition and it comes with many new features. The special edition is based on the mid-trim S (O) MT and is priced at Rs. 6.49 lakh for the petrol and the Rs. 7.73 lakh for the diesel (ex-showroom, Delhi). The Amaze Privilege edition is Rs. 10,000 expensive than the standard version of the vehicle.

Honda has not made any exterior changes to the limited edition Amaze, all the changes are limited to the interiors. The only difference on the outside is new body graphics and a new ‘Privilege Edition’ emblem on the boot. The infotainment system, called as Digipad offers inbuilt satellite linked 3D navigation, 1.5- GB of internal storage, Mirror Link support and the internet access for live traffic updates through an optional WiFi receiver. The Digipad can also recognise voice commands and there’s Bluetooth telephony option as well.

The Amaze limited edition also gets beige seat covers with ‘Privilege Edition’ embossed on them. There is a driver-side centre armrest and the limited edition version also gets rear parking sensors too. The vehicle also gets standard dual airbags and ABS in the diesel version.

The Honda Amaze Privilege Edition will put the sedan against newly launched Maruti DZire and Hyundai Xcent. The sedan is also expected to get an update and the new model will be showcased during the AutoExpo 2018.
