Honda X-ADV Adventure Scooter To Be Launched In India?

According to sources, it has been caught out that the Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer Honda has trademarked the name of X-ADV in India. Currently, this name X-ADV is associated with the two-wheeler manufacturers crossover model which is a hybrid of a maxi-scooter and an adventure bike available in the global markets.

The international model of this cross adventure scooter comes ready to tackle the rough terrains of nature with 17-inch/15-inch wire-spoke wheels fitted with block-pattern tyres and about 150mm of suspension travel at both ends. In addition, the X-ADV is equipped with plenty of modern features like the keyless ignition, a Bluetooth-equipped 5.0-inch TFT display, five riding modes and even three modes for the DCT.

While in terms of the powerplant of X-ADV, a 745cc parallel-twin engine which is borrowed from its sibling NC750X adventure tourer performs the duty of hauling this crossover scooter. The SOHC parallel 2-cylinder engine is mated to a 6-speed semi-automatic dual-clutch transmission and produces a healthy power output of 59hp and 69Nm of torque.

Additionally, the scooter does not feature a traditional clutch lever at the handlebar or a gear shifter as the engagement of gears takes place either by the scooter itself with the DCT or manually with the help of gear selecting buttons at the handlebar.

As for the X-ADV’s India launch news, there is no mention from the brand that the model will make its way into the Indian shores. The news of Honda trademarking an international models name in India is no new headline, as the company has done the same in the past. The most recent of which is the example of Honda CRF300L.
