The duty of a traffic police officer is one of the hardest anywhere in the world. It is especially harder in India, as the amount of chaos on Indian roads and its harsh weather is just on the next level. However, despite all the struggles and hardships, traffic police officers dedicate their lives to keeping the roads free from traffic jams. Recently, in a heartwarming video, a hardworking traffic police officer was seen pushing away a broken-down car to avoid traffic congestion.

In another case of a traffic police officer fulfilling his duty back in 2021, a Telangana constable and senior inspector were felicitated by Telangana Minister K.T. Rama Rao after they issued a challan against the Toyota Innova Crysta of the state’s minister. K.T. Rama Rao called Sub-inspector of Police Ilaiah and Constable Venkateshwarlu to his office and commended the work done by them. He stated he appreciates the efforts of the police department for doing their duty without any fear. The Police Commissioner of Hyderabad Police, Anjani Kumar, was also present at the facilitation done by the minister.
The challan was issued against K.T. Rama Rao’s Toyota Innova Crysta, as the minister was visiting Bapu Ghat to pay respect to Mahatma Gandhi on the occasion of his 150th birthday. KTR, Telangana Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan, Haryana Governor Bandaru Dattatreya, and Home Minister Mahmood Ali were all leaving the location. However, the route was closed owing to the movement of the Governor’s convoy. So, to get to KTR, the driver of his car traveled the opposite way to the pickup location.
At this point, Traffic SI Ilaiah, who was on duty, stopped the vehicle and asked the driver to take the opposite road as he was driving in the wrong direction. The sub-inspector reportedly did not know that the vehicle belonged to a minister. A heated argument broke out at the spot. Following the incident, the traffic police officer issued a challan against the Innova. The exact amount in the challan was unknown, but reportedly it was sent online, and it was also reported that KTR immediately cleared the challan.
