Hyderabad cop riding a Ducati Diavel superbike: What’s happening here [Video]

The police force in India is often criticised for unpleasant behaviour with riders. However, there are a few cops who break the stereotype. This video is all about such cops who became inquisitive about a Ducati Diavel in Hyderabad.

What is happening here?

The video has been uploaded by YouTuber Zohair Ahmed who was passing through Hyderabad city recently on a Ducati Diavel. Two cops on a Hero Xtreme patrol bike stopped the YouTuber and asked him the price of the Ducati Diavel Carbon. When Zohair said that the price is Rs. 18 lakhs, the cops become more intrigued and got off their bike to get a closer look at the Diavel. The cops also asked about the mileage of the Ducati Diavel.

Both the cops took turns to sit on the bike and got their pictures clicked as well. One of the cops even took a small ride on the Diavel on the same road. Both the cops were massively impressed with the Diavel and were visibly happy after their rendezvous with the Italian superbike.

Most of the Indian police force get commuter bikes for their patrolling duty. Even though the Gujarat and Kolkata police have a few Harley-Davidson Street 750 bikes, they are only used for convoys. The Ducati Diavel has a huge fan following around the world, and is known for its unique shape and looks. The Diavel is one of the rare bikes in the world and is not a regular sight on Indian roads.

The Diavel is a muscle bike and is powered by a 1198-cc, liquid-cooled L-Twin engine. It generates a maximum power of 162 Bhp at 9,250 rpm and 130.5 Nm at 8,000 rpm. It gets a six-speed transmission and can reach a top speed of 270 km/h. The Diavel can accelerate from zero to 100 km/h in just 2.83 seconds.

Even though the two cops came on a patrol bike, none of the two wore a helmet. A helmet is very important to save riders from critical injuries and is mandatory in India. However, both the cops were without a helmet at the time video was made.
