Hyundai’s only 7-seater SUV in the market was recently launched in the Indian market. It has been named Alcazar and it will be competing against MG Hector Plus and the Tata Safari. The manufacturer already has more than 4,000 bookings for the Alcazar. Hyundai is following a unique strategy where they are not offering any base variant for the SUV. The Alcazar is offered in three variants. There is Prestige, Platinum and Signature. Today, we explain what all features are offered in each variant.
The entry-level variant is called Prestige and it comes loaded with features for a base variant. It comes with automatic LED headlamps with LED Daytime Running Lamps, LED tail lamps, 17-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, dual-tone interiors, leather-wrapped steering wheel and gear knob, ambient lighting, panoramic sunroof, LED foglamps, smart key, push-button to start/stop, cruise control, automatic climate control and wireless charger. Moreover, it also comes with rear sunshades, second-row AC vents, a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, a rear wiper with a washer, a cooled glovebox, follow me home headlamps, height-adjustable driver seat, 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto, Arkamys sound system and Apple CarPlay.
You also get plenty of safety features such as rear disc brakes, ABS with EBD, ESC, Hill-start assist, tyre pressure monitoring system, rear camera with guidelines, rear parking sensors and driver rearview monitor. The pricing of the Prestige variant depends on whether you opt for a 6 or 7 seater version and the engine and gearbox you opt for. The pricing starts at Rs. 16.30 lakhs ex-showroom and goes up to Rs. 18.01 lakhs ex-showroom. If you opt for the automatic transmission then you also get drive modes, traction modes, air purifier and paddle shifters.
The mid-spec Platinum variant adds side and curtain airbags, surround-view monitor, blind view monitor in terms of safety equipment. Then there are other features added such as puddle lamps, 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, black and brown upholstery, door armrest, air purifier, 2nd-row headrest cushions, 2 USB chargers in the third row, a Bose premium sound system with a woofer and central speaker and an 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels.
If you opt for the automatic transmission then you also get paddle shifters, traction modes, side steps and drive modes. The pricing of the Platinum variant starts at Rs. 18.22 lakhs ex-showroom and goes up to Rs. 19.78 lakhs ex-showroom.
Then there is the top-end Signature variant that comes equipped with all the bells and whistles. It adds front parking sensors and front ventilated seats. You can also get the Signature variant with a Dual-tone paint scheme. The dual-paint option comes with black ORVMs, matte black roof rails, black shark fin antenna and black rear spoiler. The top-end variant is also offered only in a 6-seater configuration. The Signature variant starts at Rs. 18.70 lakhs ex-showroom and goes all the way up to Rs. 20.14 lakhs ex-showroom.
If you opt for the 6-seater version, you get captain seats. The Alcazar is the only 6-seater SUV that comes with a dedicated central console for the rear occupants. The central console has some storage, a wireless charger and two cupholders.
