Hyundai will soon officially reveal the all-new Alcazar SUV. The brand is already ruling the mid-size SUV segment with the all-new Creta and the Alcazar is expected to further boost its sales numbers in the market. While Hyundai has released a few sketches of the upcoming Alcazar SUV, technical details like engine options, transmission and even the feature list will be revealed on the 6th of April.
Here are new details from a T-BHP report that claims that the all-new Alcazar will get a more powerful petrol engine when compared to the Creta. Hyundai will use the 2.0-litre petrol engine with the Alcazar that produces a maximum power of 152 PS and peak torque of 192 Nm. This is a naturally-aspirated engine and it is also available with the other Hyundai cars like the Tucson and the Elantra.
While there are no further details on this, Hyundai may also offer the 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol engine that is available with the top-end Hyundai Creta. The high-performance engine produces a maximum power of 140 PS and a peak torque of 242 Nm. When it comes to the automatic transmission options, the Alcazar is likely to offer different transmission with different engine options. The Hyundai Creta gets a CVT, a torque converter and a 7-speed DCT. The Alcazar may get similar options too.
The Alcazar is based on the same platform as the Hyundai Creta. However, it is much bigger compared to the mid-size SUV that is selling hot cakes in the market. The Alcazar will offer a six and seven seating option with pilot seats in the middle for the customers choosing the six-seater variant. Through the teaser images, we could figure out that the all-new Alcazar will carry a few design changes that will make it look distinctive compared to the Creta.
The price of the Alcazar is likely to be around Rs 1.5 lakh more expensive than the respective variants of the Creta. The Alcazar will offer all the features that the Creta offers and there will even more than that. The exact details we will get to know on 6th April. The all-new Hyundai Creta has become a popular choice in the market. The seven-seater Alcazar is likely to push the sales of Hyundai even more.
Coming to the features, the Alcazar will be loaded to the brim just like the Creta. It will get a massive panoramic sunroof, electrically adjustable front seats, dark theme cabin, faux leather upholstery, electric parking brake, premium surround sound, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and many more such features.
Hyundai will reveal the Alcazar officially on 6th April and the price announcement will happen later in April. The deliveries are likely to start soon after that.
