India’s second largest car manufacturer Hyundai has recently launched their all-new model Aura into the competitive sub-4 meter compact sedan segment. Hyundai Aura competes with car like Maruti Suzuki Dzire, Ford Figo Aspire, Honda Amaze, Tata Tigor in the segment. Hyundai will not discontinue Xcent and will sell it alongside the Aura. Prices for Hyundai Xcent start at Rs 5.79 lakh and 9.03 lakh ex-showroom. Hyundai has priced the Aura competitively and is cheaper than it’s main rival Maruti Suzuki Dzire. Hyundai has now released a TV commercial for the all-new Aura.

Hyundai Aura is a sub-4 meter compact sedan that is based on Hyundai Grand i10 Nios that was launched last year. The front design of the Aura is very similar to Grand i10 Nios with wide grille, projector type headlamps, twin boomerang shaped LED DRLs and stylish diamond cut alloy wheels on the side. The rear is where the major changes have happened, the tail lights have a unique design and are clear lens LED tail lights. The bumper has also been redesigned at the rear.
On the inside, Aura gets features like 8.0 inch touchscreen infotainment screen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, Arkamys premium sound, wireless charging, digital speedometer and MID, leather wrapped gear knob, rear view camera, Air curtain, emergency stop signal and so on.
Hyundai Aura is available in three different engine options – two petrol and one diesel. a 1.2 litre naturally aspirated petrol engine generates 83 Bhp and 114 Nm of torque. It is available with a 5 speed manual or 5 speed AMT gearbox. The 1.2 litre turbocharged diesel engine makes 74 Bhp and 190 Nm of torque. This engine also gets a 5 speed manual or AMT gearbox as an option. Third engine is a 1.0 litre turbocharged petrol unit producing a maximum of 100 Bhp and 150 Nm of torque. The 1.2 litre petrol is also available in a CNG-petrol duel fuel trim.
