Hyundai Creta SUV’s Black Edition imagined

Hyundai India launched the all-new Creta mid-size SUV  in the market earlier this year. Creta has always been a popular SUV in the segment and the new generation is no different. The Creta competes with SUVs like Kia Seltos, MG Hector and Tata Harrier in the segment. All-new Creta is so popular among buyers that is now a common sight on our roads. A lot of modification options and accessories have also started arriving in the market. Images of couple of modified Creta have already surfaced online. Here we have a video that shows how Hyundai Creta would look like, if Hyundai decided to launch a Black Edition.

The video has been uploaded by SRK Designs on their youtube channel. The video just shows how Hyundai Creta Black Edition could actually look like. One thing that you should have in mind is that Hyundai does not have any plans to launch Black Edition and it is a result artist’s imagination. Hyundai Creta is already available in Phantom Black colour which look absolutely premium on the car. Artist chose the same colour for the video. He started with the silver lightning arc on the C pillar. The arc was completely blacked out and the roof rails also get a smoky finish.

The front grille on Hyundai Creta has lot of silver and chrome elements on it. The whole grille was blacked out except for the Hyundai logo. There is a silver colour faux skid plate both at the front and rear of Hyundai Creta. The front skid plate was given a black treatment. The black treatment has definitely enhanced the look of the SUV. It now looks a lot more sportier with all chrome elements removed.

Apart from the silver lightning arc, the door handles, and silver cladding on the side were also blacked out. The dual tone multi spoke alloy wheels on Creta were also given similar sort of treatment. Just like at the front grille, the Hyundai logo at the centre of alloy wheels were not painted black.

Hyundai Creta is currently the best selling SUV in the segment and is offered with a long list of features. It gets remote engine start/stop, BlueLink connected car services, wireless charging, 10.25 inch touchscreen infotainment screen, panoramic sunroof, integrated air purifier and so on. It is available with a variety of engine options too. Hyundai Creta gets two petrol and one diesel engine option.

There is a 1.5 litre naturally aspirated petrol engine that generates 115 Ps and 144 Nm of torque. This engine option is available with manual and iVT (Hyundai’s version of CVT) gearbox options. The diesel engine on offer is also a 1.5 litre unit that generates 115 Ps and 250 Nm of peak torque. It is available with a manual and 6-speed automatic transmission option. The last engine on offer is a 1.4 litre turbocharged petrol engine. It is the most powerful engine available in Creta and generates 140 Ps and 242 Nm of peak torque. This engine is available with a 7-speed DCT gearbox option only.
