Hyundai Creta facelift fully revealed

Hyundai Motor India Ltd (HMIL) is about to launch a facelifted version of the Creta small SUV. The new 2018 Hyundai Creta facelift gets a refreshed exterior and interior along with a handful of new features for the fully-loaded variant. The launch of the updated SUV will take place later this month. The new car has been fully revealed through the latest batch of spy images.

As you can see in the above image, the Creta facelift gets a new front-end. It features a set of new projector headlamps with LED DRLs. It also comes with Hyundai’s signature cascading effect front grille. The bumper is also new and carries a dual-tone look. In the side profile, the alloy wheels are new. The rear gets new taillamps and a new bumper. On the inside, the Creta will offer a new upholstery and a new trim around the aircon vents. The dual-tone paint schemes will offer an orange colour interior pack.

The updated Creta will have seven single-tone exterior paint options – Polar White, Sleek Silver, Phantom Black, Stardust, Fiery Red, Passion Orange and Marina Blue. The dual-tone paint options include – Polar White with Phantom Black and Passion Orange with Phantom Black. The fully-loaded trim will have many new features, which include an electric sunroof, a 6-way electrically adjustable driver’s seat, a wearable smart key band, and cruise control.

The SUV will remain largely the same in terms of specifications, which means that the current engine options will be carried over. The smallest of the engines that the Creta offers is a 1.4-litre diesel motor that produces 90 PS and 220 Nm. It comes mated to a 6-speed manual transmission. The 1.6-litre petrol engine produces 123 PS and 151 Nm. The 1.6-litre diesel engine offers 128 PS and 260 Nm. The 1.6-litre engines offer two transmission choices – 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic. Prices will see a slight change. While the lower variants will become slightly cheaper, the top-end models will get a bit costlier due to the introduction of the new features.
