Hyundai Creta facelift spied in India before launch in 2018

Hyundai will bring the facelift version of the Creta in India soon, and the car has been spotted testing India for the first time. Hyundai has already launched the compact SUV in the international markets, and the Indian launch is expected to happen in next year. It is a significant car for Hyundai as it takes on the highly competitive segment and is the best selling vehicle in the segment.

Hyundai first launched the Creta in 2015, and since then it has only received a minor interior update. The spy image taken from the rear does not reveal many details about the vehicle, but we believe that the changes will be along the lines of the international facelifted design of the vehicle.

The exterior changes include a new front cascade grille, new bumpers and cladding all around the vehicle. The vehicle carries a similar outline of the current vehicle, but the changes make it look quite fresh and imposing than the current model. With the new changes, the Creta is expected to attract even more buyers as Indian market love the SUV-ish looks.

On the inside, we can expect a better infotainment system alongside colour changes to the dashboard. The Creta looks quite updated to the market standards even after a long time of launch so we can expect minimal changes to the interiors with the updated model.

There is no information about the engines and transmission as of now, but the new Creta is expected to carry the same engines and drivetrain options like the current car. The Creta is currently being offered with four engine options. There are two smaller 1.4-litre petrol and diesel engine options while high-performance enthusiasts can also opt for higher powered 1.6-litre petrol and diesel engine options.

Creta gets AWD system in the international models, but it is not expected in India as it raises the cost by a huge difference. We can expect an Auto Expo showcase of the vehicle while the launch will happen later in 2018.
