Hyundai Exter micro SUV: Brochure of the Tata Punch rival released ahead of launch

The launch of the Hyundai Motor India’s newest micro-SUV Exter is just around the corner on July 10 and before its official launch, the company has released its broker on its official website. The brochure highlights the forthcoming Exters features and amenities and also reveals a few new information which was kept hidden till now. From the brochure, it can be noted that the Exter will come more equipped than the Tata Punch its direct rival in India.

The first few pictures on the brochure are of the Exters exterior design which we have already seen. The micro-SUV will come with a modern design which will include split LED headlamp design with H-shaped LED DRLs up top and a sporty front bumper with silver skid plate. On the rear as well the car will get H-shaped LED taillights and a massive silver skid plate. Overall it will feature a tall boy appearance.

The brochure also reveals the Exters interior in full detail. The first interior image shows the spacious interior of the micr-SUV.

Next interior image reveals the dashboard layout of the Exter. A textured plastic material can be noted on the passenger side along with the single stack infotainment screen and digital instrument cluster. The car will also get automatic climate control.

The brochure also shows the sporty semi-leatherette upholstery on the seats.

Another one of the unique features of the upcoming Exter which its direct rival Tata Punch does not get is the factory installed dashcam. The Exter will get a dashcam next to the interior rear view mirror which will have a screen and cameras on both sides.

The brochure reveals that the car will also get an 8 inch infotainment screen along with a 4.2 inch TFT MID instrument cluster. The car will also get 10 regional plus 2 global languages for its instrument cluster along with cruise control.

Some of the safety features on the Exter will include ESC (Electronic Stability Control), VSM (Vehicle Stability Management), HAC (Hill Assist Control), 3-Point Seat Belt & seatbelt reminder (all seats), ABS with EBD, Burglar Alarm (1st in Segment) and more. The Exter will also be the only car in the segment to offer features like built-in dashboard camera and TPMS. Other advanced safety features include ISOFIX anchors, headlamp escort function, rear parking camera and others.

The brochure also reveals all the drivetrain options for the Exter. It will come with two powertrain options which will include a 1.2 L Kappa petrol and a 1.2 L Bi-fuel Kappa petrol with CNG. Smart auto AMT and 5 speed manual transmission options will be available with the Exter as well.
