Hyundai India recently inaugurated its new headquarter in Gurugram, Haryana. While opening the new working space, Hyundai showcased the Ioniq5 all-electric car. They also showcased models from its premium vehicle division – Genesis. Two models were showcased by Hyundai India at its new headquarter.
The first of them is the Genesis G80 luxury sedan and the Genesis GV80 luxury SUV as seen in the pictures by Kushan Mitra. While the top Hyundai India bosses move around in the Genesis models in India, the brand has no plans to introduce these vehicles in the Indian market in the near future. However, they do look intriguing and attract a lot of attention on the roads.

Hyundai Genesis G80
The Hyundai Genesis G80 is a premium sedan that is available with both petrol and diesel engine options. It is a mid-range luxury sedan that competes with the Mercedes-Benz E-Class and BMW 5-Series in the international markets.
There are three engine options available with the car internationally. The petrol engine portfolio consists of 2.5-litre and 3.5-litre engine options while the diesel variants get powered by the 3.5-litre V6 engine. All three engine options are available with 8-speed automatic transmission. Since it is a luxury segment model, there is no manual transmission available.
The Genesis G80 also looks extremely funky. The front gets sleek quad lamps that are compensated with a large crest grille that runs across the width. The cabin is also quite premium and gets all-leather upholstery. There is a heads-up display and a massive 14.5-inch infotainment screen as well. The driver gets a large 12.3-inch instrument cluster.
Hyundai Genesis GV80
The Genesis GV80 is an SUV. It is based on the Genesis G80’s platform and competes with the cars like Mercedes-Benz GLE and the BMW X5. The Genesis GV80 also gets three engine options. There is a 2.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine, a 3.5-litre V6 petrol engine and an in-line six-cylinder 3.0-litre diesel engine.
The GV80 also gets a familiar face with a crest grille and quad lamps at the front. The vehicle comes with massive 22-inch wheels and the rear gets sleek twin LED stop lamps. The cabin of the GV80 is premium as well. It gets all-leather upholstery and a long list of convenience features including a massive touchscreen instrument cluster, driver assistance systems and more.
Hyundai recently launched the all-new Alcazar in the Indian market. Soon, the brand will launch a list of cars including the i20 N Sport. The brand has now become the best-seller in the SUV segment and they will continue to strengthen the portfolio with the future launches the Casper, which will be the entry-level SUV for the brand and will be positioned below the Venue.
