Hyundai India has launched the LPG version of its popular small car, the i10 dubbed ‘i10 BlueDrive’. The i10 LPG version is available only in two variants, the 1.1-litre Era LPG priced at Rs. 4.16 lakh and the 1.1-litre Magna LPG priced at Rs. 4.30 lakh. All prices are ex-Delhi.
The LPG variants are roughly Rs. 28,000 higher than the corresponding petrol variants. The i10 LPG launch is a welcome move by Hyundai as many buyers are planning to buy CNG and LPG cars to reduce the running costs due to sky rocketing petrol prices.
The LPG kit in the i10 comes with a 34 litre tank alongside a 35 litre petrol tank. The LPG tank occupies less luggage space unlike in conventional LPG cars. The factory fitted LPG kit is certified by ARAI and approved by the Department of Explosives. Hence buyers can rest assured that the LPG kit is impact proof and further, the LPG variants get a 2 years manufacturer warranty.
