Hyundai will launch the all-new i20 in the Indian market on 5th November and the manufacturer has already started accepting bookings for the upcoming car. While you need to pay Rs 21,000 as a booking amount for the all-new i20, Hyundai is yet to reveal the exact trim details officially. The all-new premium hatchback will get four major trims and as many as 13 variants under them.
There are four trims of the all-new i20 – Magna, Sportz, Asta and Asta(O) and there are three engine options available with the car. There are two petrol engine options – 1.2-litre naturally-aspirated petrol and 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol while the diesel variants will get the 1.5-litre engine. Hyundai will also offer a plethora of transmission options with the all-new i20.
The 1.2-litre naturally-aspirated petrol engine will offer a manual transmission or a CVT automatic. The automatic transmission will be available only with the Sportz and Asta variants of the car while the manual transmission will be available with all the trims.
The more powerful 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine will be available with an Intelligent Manual Transmission or IMT, which is also available with the Venue. Hyundai also offers the dual-clutch automatic transmission with this engine option. The Sportz and Asta version will get the iMT while the DCT will be available with the Asta and the Asta(O) variants.
The 1.5-litre diesel engine will be available with the Magna, Sportz and Asta (O) options only. Hyundai will offer a six-speed manual transmission with the diesel engine option and there is no automatic transmission available with the sticky fuel. Also, all the trims except for the base version will offer dual-tone paint schemes. All the variants offer six colour options apart from the dual-tone schemes.
The top-end version of the all-new Hyundai i20 will come loaded with features. Starting with a 10.25-inch BlueLink infotainment system, the car will get a 7-speaker system from Bose and a host of other features as well. There are features like a wireless phone charger, ambient lighting, all-digital instrument cluster, leatherette seats and many such high-end options. Hyundai has already started dispatching the all-new i20 and several dealerships across India have already received the vehicles. Before the official launch, the car has been spotted in various dealerships, which means that the deliveries are expected to start on the same day as the launch. The all-new i20 will take on the likes of Baleno, Glanza, and Honda Jazz in the Indian market.
