Hyundai India has announced that they will be the official partner of FIFA U17 World Cup tournament. Hyundai will provide exclusive transportation to the FIFA officials selectred from their range of vehicles in India. The FIFA U17 World Cup tournament will be held in India and the tournament will start on 6th October 2017.
Hyundai officially handed over the fleet of Hyundai cars to Martin Nussbaumer, Marketing Operations Group Leader, FIFA and Javier Cappi, Tournament Director, Local Organizing Committee at a ceremony at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in New Delhi.
Hyundai has pledged to provide 83 vehicles out of which 63 vehicles will be premium cars. The fleet of vehicles includes Hyundai Verna, Hyundai Tucson and Hyundai Elite i20. The South Korean manufacturer will also provide luxury coaches in 6 cities – Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Kochi and Goa. The vehicles will be used for the transportation of the players during the course of events
Speaking at official cars handover ceremony, Mr Y K Koo, Managing Director and CEO, Hyundai Motor India Ltd. said,

Hyundai has also planned a number of interactive engagement with the young football fans in the country through digital campaigns #FuelTheGame and#FootballerInYou. In #FuelTheGame fans can submit slogans in support of their favourite U17 players just before the opening ceremony. Through #FootballerInYou fans will be asked to upload films of their own football skills. Both the campaigns will be on throughout the entire tournament period.
