Test mules have been spotted multiple times, revealing interesting details. Hyundai has confirmed the production of the Creta EV will start by the end of 2024. With an expected range of around 500km, it will feature a design similar to that of the recently updated ICE Creta. The expected price range for this EV is Rs 22 lakh to Rs 26 lakh.

As per reports, the Creta EV will be equipped with a 45 kWh battery pack. In addition to this, it will borrow its motor from the entry-level variant of the Kona EV, which produces 138 PS and 255 Nm. The Creta EV will compete with the MG ZS EV and upcoming EVs such as the Maruti Suzuki eVX, Tata Curvv EV and Toyota’s badge-engineered version of the eVX, called the Urban SUV.

The current Venue, launched in 2019, received a facelift in 2022, setting the stage for its electric counterpart.
