Hyundai has updated its popular vehicles, Creta and Elite i20 in India. The 2017 models come with major changes. Hyundai has also revised the prices of both the models. What are they about? Let’s find out.
Hyundai Creta
The 2017 Creta has been launched at Rs. 9.28 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi. The model also gets a new E+ variant with the 1.4-litre diesel engine. The top of the line SX+ trim also gets optional Dual Tone body option with the 1.6-litre diesel and petrol engine options.
The dual tone body colour option includes Piano Black finish roof and a sporty black spoiler. Only white-black and red-black colour options will be available with the dual pain option. There are no more changes on the outside. On the inside, the 2017 Creta receives major updates to keep it fresh in the market.
The manufacturer now offers standard beige seats while there is an option to choose from two-tone black and red package with an all-black dashboard. The new Creta also gets 7-inch Audio Visual Navigation system that features Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and Mirror Link.
The touchscreen also doubles up as the screen for rear parking camera. Other features like LED DRLs, 17-inch diamond cut wheels and LED taillamps to continue to be there. The Creta is powered by three engine options, 1.6-litre petrol with 121 BHP – 151 Nm output, 1.6-litre diesel with 126 BHP – 259 Nm power and 1.4-litre diesel with 89 BHP – 220 Nm of maximum power.

Hyundai Elite i20
The premium hatchback from Hyundai also gets updates for the 2017 edition. The Elite i20 also gets dual tone paint job option like the Creta and is available with the only top variant. The company also offers a new Blue shade with the vehicle. Apart from the colour, there has been no changes to the vehicle.
On the inside, the i20 becomes little sportier. The dashboard gets orange accents similar to the i20 Active. Hyundai has even improved the features list by upgrading the infotainment system to a 7-inch display. The infotainment now supports Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and the MirrorLink, similar to the Creta.
Features like 16-inch diamond cut alloy wheels, LED DRLs and keyless entry with start-stop button are carried forward to the 2017 version. Mechanically, the Elite i20 remains the same with 1.2-litre petrol manual making 82 BHP – 115 Nm, 1.4-litre petrol automatic 99 BHP – 132 Nm. The diesel engine is a 1.4-litre motor churning out 89 BHP – 220 Nm and comes with only 6-speed manual gearbox.
