Hyundai has released a new TVC for Creta’s facelift in Russia. We have not yet received any facelift of the Creta because the mid-size SUV was launched in India last year only. We might get the facelift next year. The video that Hyundai Russia has released shows the changes that Hyundai has made to the facelift.
From the video, we can see that the front has been tweaked. It now looks slightly less polarizing because Hyundai has reworked the shape and size of the grille. They have removed the horizontal chrome slats and replaced them with dark chrome pieces just like we saw on Alcazar. The bumper and the silver skid plate has also been redesigned as well. Overall, the Creta does look more elegant now.

Towards the side, the only difference is the redesigned alloy wheels. The rear bumper and the tailgate has also been redesigned and it now does look better. There are no major changes to the interior of the Creta. We can see that it is offered in an all-black cabin theme or a black and brown theme that we have also seen on the Alcazar.
In Russia, Hyundai offers Creta with two petrol engine options. There is a 1.6-litre and a 2.0-litre unit. Both are naturally aspirated engines. The 1.6-litre engine produces 123 hp of max power and 150 Nm of peak torque. The 2.0-litre unit is more powerful as it produces 150 PS of max power and 191 Nm of peak torque. Both the engines are offered with a 6-speed manual gearbox or a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. In Russia, Hyundai also offers the Creta with an optional all-wheel-drive powertrain.
In India, we get three engine options. All of them get a front-wheel-drive layout. There is a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, 1.5-litre diesel engine and a 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol engine. The naturally aspirated engine produces 115 PS of max power and 144 Nm of peak torque. It is offered with a 6-speed manual gearbox or a CVT automatic gearbox.
The diesel engine produces 115 PS of max power and 250 Nm of peak torque. It comes mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox or a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. Then there is the turbo petrol engine that produces 140 PS of max power and 242 Nm of peak torque. It is mated to only a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox.
The Russian Creta gets Blindness Collision Avoidance, Front Obstacle Automatic Braking System, Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keep Assist and front parking sensors. Because Russia faces sub-zero weather Hyundai offers heated front and rear seats, Heated windshield washer nozzles, heated windshield and heated steering wheel.
Hyundai is also working on another facelift for Indonesia. The design of the new facelift resembles the international spec Tucson. The teaser sketches of the facelift were revealed quite recently and you can look at them by clicking here.
