Hyundai unveiled the new Sonata at the Auto Expo 2012. The new Sonata significantly improves the older one on the looks front with its fluidic design with lots of swoopy lines and side-swept head- and tail-lamps. Expect it to be loaded as well.

The Sonata on display had a 2.4-litre GDI petrol engine that produces class-leading 198bhp but we also expect Hyundai to offer the 192 bhp diesel currently powering Santa Fe. Both six-speed manual and six-speed automatic gearbox with paddle-shifters will be available.
We also expect Hyundai to under-cut Honda Accord and Toyota Camry on price so expect ex-showroom prices in the range of Rs. 15-Rs. 18 lakh.
