Hyundai today announced the launch of three new variants of the Eon small car. The new variants are called the D-Lite Plus, the Era Plus and the Magna Plus. The Eon is now available in 9 variants.
Priced at 2.98 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) the D-Lite Plus comes with AC, gear shift indicator, body coloured bumpers and power steering. These three variants will also be sold in LPG powered variants and will be priced roughly Rs. 27,000 higher.

The LPG variants come with separate (factory-fitted) petrol (32 litres) and LPG (34 litres) tanks. Hyundai’s calls this a ‘Toroidal’ tank that is meant to enhance boot space when compared to conventional LPG-fitted cars. Hyundai claims that the Eon can travel over 1,200 kms on a full tank of LPG and petrol.
The Hyundai Eon was earlier available in six variants; the D-lite, D-lite (O), Era, Magna, Magna (O) and the top end Sportz. The base D-Lite variant starts at Rs. 2.70 lakh and goes up to Rs. 3.72 lakh for the top trim Sportz variant. Now with nine variants of the Eon, Hyundai has made an attempt to not only offer customers with more options but has also targeted customers with all kinds of budgets and needs.
