After unveiling the newest generation of its flagship SUV Tucson in India, the South Korean automaker Hyundai India recently announced the commencement of bookings for the model. The company stated that the fourth generation Tucson can be reserved for a sum of Rs 50,000 by visiting the nearest Hyundai dealership or the company’s official website. Hyundai will be offering the new Tucson in two trims and these will be the Platinum and Signature trims with both petrol and diesel drivetrains.
The fourth-gen mid-size crossover is an all-new vehicle that has been redesigned from the ground up by following the carmaker’s ‘Parametric Jewel’ design philosophy. From the outside, the new Tucson gets the signature Hyundai Parametric grille with integrated LED DRLs and all-LED headlamps. Hyundai has also revised the brand new Tucson’s front bumper and the overall front fascia looks very modern and futuristic.
Moving on further, deep creases have been added to the new model’s whole profile, which complements the Tucson’s overall angular styling. Furthermore, b Blacked-out pillars provide the illusion of a floating roof. Meanwhile, on the rear, an LED strip connects the modern all-LED tail lights, similar to a design we also saw on the Venue facelift. It also gets brand-new alloy wheels and a contrasting roof rail.

Hyundai has also added a number of amenities to the all-new Tucson’s interior. Capacitive touch-based controllers are used for temperature control systems.
The vehicle also has ambient lighting, an electronic parking brake, and a button to change the transmission’s modes. The new Tucson has light-coloured leather upholstery, which undoubtedly gives the inside a lot more upscale appearance. Additionally, the Tucson comes with a panoramic sunroof. There are other additional opulent amenities, such as a hands-free tailgate. Without ever touching the boot lid, the motorised tailgate opens and closes.
A LEVEL-2 ADAS autonomous driving system will also be offered in the brand-new Hyundai Tucson. A radar system and onboard cameras will be used by the system. A variety of ADAS capabilities, including as Autonomous Emergency Braking, lane-keep indication, adaptive cruise control, speed sign reading, and others, are available on the Hyundai Tucson. It will be the first Hyundai car to offer ADAS in India.
As for the drivetrain options, a 2.0-liter, four-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine and a 2.0-liter diesel engine will be available from Hyundai. These are the upgraded versions of the engines that were offered with the earlier model of the vehicle. The Tucson’s petrol mill will generate around 156PS of maximum power and 192Nm of torque, meanwhile, the diesel will make around 185 PS along with 416Nm of torque. While the diesel engine will have an eight-speed automatic gearbox, the petrol unit will have a six-speed automatic. The new Tucson is not available with a manual gearbox.
