Hyundai Venue delivery starts, first video of the delivery out

Hyundai launched the Venue yesterday at a very lucrative price. Hyundai started taking the official bookings for the all-new Venue from April 2019 and the brand announced that there are more than 15,000 confirmed bookings that have been received across India. That’s quite a staggering response for the much-awaited car. Soon after the price announcement of the Venue yesterday, the dealerships across India began the delivery process and here is a video from Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh that shows one of the first deliveries in the country and first Hyundai Venue delivery in Lucknow.

The video by Mr Car Lover shows an event hosted by the dealership for the delivery of the car to the customers. The car shown in the video is the 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine with 7-speed DCT automatic transmission. It is a brand-new engine and for the first time, Hyundai is offering the dual-clutch transmission in the segment. It sure is a big step and shows how much faith customers put on the brand who buy the vehicle even without taking a test drive.

Nonetheless, Hyundai is targetting to sell close to 10,000 units of the Venue in the Indian market, which will make it the leading SUV manufacturer in India as the already-popular Hyundai Creta sells around 10,000 units on an average every month. With the Venue joining the sales chart from this month, the Hyundai’s overall SUV numbers will be bigger than any other brand in the Indian market.

The Hyundai Venue is available in eleven variants and the base version of the car is priced at Rs 6.5 lakh, ex-showroom. The most expensive variant of the Venue is priced at Rs 11.10 lakh, ex-showroom. It gets an option of three engines – two petrol and one diesel version. There is a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine that generates a maximum power of 82 Bhp and peak torque of 115 Nm. It gets a 5-speed manual transmission as standard and churns out a maximum of 17.52 km/l. The diesel variants of the Hyundai Venue are powered by a 1.4-litre four-cylinder engine that generates a maximum power of 89 Bhp and peak torque of 220 Nm. It gets a 6-speed manual transmission as standard and returns a maximum fuel efficiency of 23.7 km/l. The most powerful engine option available with the Hyundai Venue is the 1.0-litre three-cylinder turbocharged unit that generates a maximum of 118 Bhp and 172 Nm of peak torque. It gets a 6-speed manual transmission with ARAI rated fuel efficiency of 18.27 km/l and a 7-speed DCT automatic that returns a maximum of 18.15 km/l.
