Hyundai Venue IMT taken for a spin by actress Aditi Rao Hydari [Video]

Hyundai Venue is one of the most popular sub-4 meter SUV in the country. It competes with SUVs like Maruti Brezza, Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV300, Ford EcoSport and recently launched Kia Sonet. Hyundai Venue became the first car in the country to be launched with a unique type of transmission. It is called an iMT or Intelligent Manual Transmission. This piece of technology allows a clutchless manual transmission. Here we have a video of popular actress Aditi Rao Hydari driving the all new Hyundai Venue iMT on the roads.

The video has been posted by aditiraohydari on her official Instagram page. The Video basically shows how convenient it is drive around without bothering about the clutch pedal. The actress is very impressed with this new technology because all the work is done by the sensors inside the vehicle itself. The moment, driver tends to shift to a higher or lower gear, the sensor engages the clutch automatically and disengages it once the gear lever is in the gear.

This action happens so smoothly that no jerks are felt in the car. The left foot is free the whole time just like in an automatic car but, you can manually control the gear at which you want the car to be driven. Hyundai Venue is quite sporty too. This new transmission option is available with the 1.0 litre, three cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine only. This engine makes 118 Bhp-172 Nm. A 7-speed DCT gearbox is also available with this engine.

Apart from the turbo petrol engine, Venue is also available with a 1.2 litre naturally aspirated petrol and a 1.5 litre turbo diesel engines. Both of these engine options get a manual transmission only. Just like any other Hyundai vehicle, Venue is also feature loaded. It gets electric sunroof, wireless charging, multi function steering wheel, touchscreen infotainment screen, air purifier and so on.

Hyundai also introduced a new trim to the Venue very recently. it is now available in Sport trim which comes with red accents at different places on the car along with a Sport badge. It is available with the top-ends of 1.0 litre petrol and 1.5 litre diesel Venue only. The Hyundai Venue is not the only vehicle in the segment to get this technology; the recently launched Kia Sonet also gets the very same gearbox-engine combination.
