4 cars launching soon in India: Hyundai Venue to MG Hector

We are now almost in the mid of 2019 and a lot of cars are lined up to be launched in the coming time. These include new models, generation updates and facelifts of various car models. Several of the manufacturers have already launched their models while several are yet to be launched. If you are making your mind for buying a car in the coming time, here are 5 cars along with their launch timelines that will be launched in the near future.

Toyota Glanza

The Toyota Glanza is just a rebadged Maruti Suzuki Baleno premium hatchback, though the Japanese manufacturer took the work ‘rebadged’ seriously. The Glanza is literally just a rebadge job and the car is almost the same as Baleno, at least in terms of exteriors. It will be only available with a petrol engine, which will be the 1.2-litre 4 cylinders K-Series petrol engine. This engine churns out 82 Bhp of power and 113 Nm of peak torque. The engine will get both a 5-speed manual and a CVT automatic. The launching of the Glanza is expected to happen by June and it is likely to be priced at a slight premium over the Baleno.

Tata Altroz

The Tata Altroz was showcased at the Geneva Motor Show in March and immediately became popular. It will be launched in India during the festive season, that is during the last quarter of this year. Based on the ALFA platform and designed on the lines of Tata’s IMPACT 2.0 design philosophy, the Altroz will be positioned as a premium hatchback and rival the likes of the Maruti Baleno among others. Tata has equipped the car well and it will come with a 7-inch floating touchscreen, auto climate control, large MID and a flat bottom steering among others. The engine on the car will be a 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine along with the naturally-aspirated version of this engine. It is also expected to get the 1.5-litre diesel engine from the Nexon but in a lower tune. A 5-speed manual will do the transmission duties while an automatic will be offered later.

Hyundai Venue

Hyundai will launch the Venue on 21st May and the car was revealed just last month. It will rival the likes of the Mahindra XUV300, Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza and the Tata Nexon among others in the segment. It will come with three engine and gearbox options. The first among them would be an 82 Bhp, 1.2-litre petrol unit, second would be an 89 bhp, 1.4-litre diesel engine and lastly, the third option will be 118 Bhp, 1.0-litre 3-cylinder turbocharged petrol. The 1.2 petrol will come with a 5-speed manual box, the diesel will get a 6-speed manual while the turbocharged petrol will have an option of a 7-speed DCT box too. The Venue will quite feature rich too and will come with Bluelink assistant technology, electric sunroof, 6 airbags, ABS, traction control, ESP, reverse parking sensors and camera, hill hold assist, touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, automatic headlamps, rain sensing wipers, and much more.

 

MG Hector

MG will also launch its debut vehicle in India by June this year. The SUV has already been showcased to the 50 odd dealers across the country and will start reaching dealerships soon. The Hector will chiefly rival the Tata Harrier, Tata Cassini, and the Mahindra XUV500 along with the Hyundai Tucson and the Jeep Compass in its price segment upon being launched and will carry a price tag of around Rs. 15-20 lakhs. . It will come with both petrol and diesel engine options. The 1.5-litre turbo-petrol and 2.0-litre diesel motor are expected to be in the region of 170 Bhp. Also, the Hector will come with both manual and automatic gearbox options. That said, the new SUV will have the most advanced features in the segment included connected apps and best in class safety standards.
