Hyundai Venue N-Line high performance SUV in the works

Hyundai’s latest Venue SUV will be launched in the Indian market soon. The upcoming sub-4m compact SUV that will take on the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Ford EcoSport, Tata Nexon and Mahindra XUV300 will get an aggressive version too just like the Hyundai Tucson N-Line. The announcement comes after Hyundai confirmed the launch of the Sonata N-Line.

The changes in the N-Line variant of the Venue may remain limited to the styling of the vehicle only. Hyundai will offer the 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine with the Venue from the start, which is why a more powerful engine is not expected in the N-Line version of the sub-4m compact SUV. However, in the markets like USA, Hyundai may launch the vehicle with upgraded hardware and a more powerful engine.

Hyundai India has not officially said anything about the N-Line Venue. However, visually, the car is expected to offer a more aggressive stance with a factory-fitted body kit. The N-Line version may come with a new bumper spoiler, new side skirts and new rear bumper with integrated exhaust tips. On the inside, N-Line marked seats and drilled metal pedals can be expected.

As of now, the all-new Hyundai Venue will be launched in the Indian market on 21st May. Hyundai dealerships have already started taking the bookings at a payment of Rs 50,000. The all-new Venue boasts of a long feature list and many of the features are first-in-segment To start with, the Venue will become the first Hyundai car in India to offer the BlueLink system that will get an integrated eSIM. The system works as a remote control for the AC, ignition and the windows. It also allows users to track the location of the vehicle using GPS and set-up geo-fencing. The BlueLink system will also give alerts like towing of the vehicle, overspeeding, SOS, customer support and more.

The Venue also offers integrated self-cleaning AC with an air purifier, projector fog lamps, wireless charging, high definition touchscreen infotainment system, wheel air curtains, Akaymys sound output and 3-year unlimited mileage warranty with roadside assistance. Other features include cruise control, sunroof, 6 airbags, hill hold, electronic stability program, speed alerts, seatbelt reminder, reverse parking sensors with camera, dual-zone climate control system and more.

Engine-wise, the Hyundai Venue gets two petrol engine options and a diesel engine option. There is a 1.2-litre four-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine that generates a maximum power of 82 Bhp and 115 Nm of peak torque. It gets a five-speed manual transmission. The diesel variants of the Venue will get powered by a 1.4-litre, 4-cylinder turbo-diesel engine that generates a maximum of 89 Bhp and peak torque of 220 Nm. It also gets a 5-speed manual transmission only. The most powerful engine available with the Venue is the 1.0-litre turbocharged three-cylinder unit that generates a maximum of 118 Bhp and peak torque of 172 Nm. It gets a 6-speed manual transmission and a 7-speed Dual-Clutch automatic gearbox.
