Hyundai Venue has been a very popular vehicle in the sub-4 meter compact SUV segment since its launch. In fact it was the highest selling car in India from Jan to May 2020. The 1.0 litre turbocharged petrol engine is the most popular engine option among customers. Over 30,000 customers have also opted Venue variants with BlueLink Connected car technology.
The Venue is a good looking SUV with a bold chrome grille at the front. The headlamps are positioned on the bumper and the turn indicators are above it. It overall has a premium looking exterior. Just like any other Hyundai vehicle, Venue is also feature loaded. It gets wireless charging, sunroof, touchscreen infotainment system and so on.
Hyundai Venue is available in three engine options in India. A 1.2 litre naturally aspirated petrol engine that generates 83 Ps and 113 Nm of torque, recently added 1.5 litre diesel engine that generates 100 Ps and 240 Nm of torque and a 1.0 litre, three cylinder turbo petrol engine that generates 120 Ps and 172 Nm of torque. Only the turbo petrol engine is available with a DCT automatic gearbox option. The Venue is Hyundai’s fastest selling SUV in the Indian market, and a lot of this has to do with the sharp pricing that it was launched at. It continues to be one of the most affordable sub-4 meter compact SUVs in the Indian market.
