It seems like the battle between car and bike fans never seem to get tired of having a healthy battle over the topic of who is fastest. Some cases the cars win whereas in some occasions it is won by the bikes. Here we have a similar video that shows a top-end race between a bike and a car. The bike used here is the all-new updated Bajaj Dominar 400 and the car is Hyundai Verna 1.6 litre diesel sedan. Who wins the race?. Let’s find out.
The video has been uploaded by Abhay Verma on his youtube channel. This video shows an all-new Bajaj Dominar 400 motorcycle and a Hyundai Verna racing on a empty stretch of highway. The race starts and as any other race, motorcycle takes the lead because of the power to weight ratio advantage.
The Bajaj Dominar keep on building the lead for quite some time and th Verna can be seen at a distance trying to chase the motorcycle. After few seconds, the distance between the Dominar 400 and the Verna diesel started decreasing and the Verna started gaining on Dominar. At around 166 Kmph Hyundai Verna Overtakes Dominar 400 and gains the lead position. Verna maintains the position till the end and reaches up to the speed of 193 kmph.
When the race started it was looking like the Dominar will be winning the race as it had very quickly build a lead from the moment race started. The initial lad picked up by the Dominar was because of the power to weight ratio thing. This however was a long top-end run and the top speed of the Dominar 400 is much less than that of the Hyundai Verna. Dominar has very quickly reached triple digit speeds in comparison to Hyundai Verna but, the top speed that the Dominar could manage was 166 kmph on the speedometer which is way less than the top speed of Hyundai Verna.
Hyundai Verna in the video is powered by 1.6 litre, 4 cylinder diesel engine producing 126 Bhp and 260 Nm of peak torque. The Bajaj Dominar on the other hand uses a 373 cc, single cylinder, liquid cooled engine that produces 40 PS and 35 Nm of peak torque. The race doesn’t mean that Dominar is not powerful bike, it is just no match to the fantastic torque rich diesel engine of the Verna, when the speeds get really high. In the city, the Dominar can easily stay ahead of the Verna.
