The new Hyundai Fluidic Verna has caught the fancy of Indian customers, that too at a massive scale with sales soaring upwards. The Verna offers a host of interesting, driver oriented features which have made it a hit amongst Indian car buyers. Here we take a look at those very features and see what sets the Verna apart.
Push Start: The first most interesting feature in the Verna is the car’s push start and stop button. A futuristic looking round button sits neatly on the suave looking dashboard of the Verna. To start the car one has to depress the clutch pedal and push the engine start button. The system works beautifully and the car starts with a muted buzz, which is music to the ears.
Sensors in the car detect the presence of the Verna’s smart key without which the button does not function. This feature is available only on the top of the line 1.6 SX (O) VTVT petrol and the top trim 1.6 SX (O) CRDI VGT diesel.
Audio System: The Verna has a smooth and sorted looking 2-DIN Audio System that beats the average music player hands down. The system comes equipped with a CD, MP3 player and can be operated using a remote. The system is neat and easy to operate; it has a user friendly interface making it apt for people across age groups.
Aux-In/USB: What acts like an amplifier for in-car entertainment are the USB and AUX-In which allow the user to connect cell phones, MP3 players, i-pod’s etc. There is also a power outlet which coupled with the other features make the Verna a gadget friendly car.
Climate Control: The Verna comes equipped with an automatic climate control system which means the insides of the Verna are always a comfortable place to be in. The Controls are simple yet elegant and the air-conditioning is effective.
Park Assist: The car also sports an impressive rear parking system. The system employs both sensors and a rear camera to help the drive park the car. The park assist has a unique display unit which has been integrated into the rear view mirror, which means the driver does not have to take his eyes off the mirror to use the park assist system. Moreover the display unit shows line guides which help the driver reverse the car in what is virtually a straight line, with utter ease.
Gear Shift Indicator: Another tick on the Verna’s features list is put thanks to its gear shift indicator. On the centre of the instrument cluster there is a small display screen which shows the gear shift indicator. This allows the driver to squeeze the most out of ever gear shift and also helps increase efficiency.
Steering Mounted Controls: Steering mounted audio controls are offered on all variants of the Verna except the base 1.4 petrol and diesel. However electronic power steering with tilt-adjust comes as a standard feature across variants. The steering mounted audio controls make driving easier as the driver does not need to take his hands off the steering wheel to surf channels or control volume. The steering also has the ability to receive calls via Bluetooth, but this feature is not offered on the base 1.4 petrol and diesel variants.
