Hyundai Verna to come with reverse parking camera as standard feature!

Hyundai will soon launch all variants of the Verna with reverse camera as a standard feature. However expect a price hike of around Rs.20,000 due to the addition of the reverse camera. At present, the Verna is priced in the range of Rs 7.11 lakh – Rs 11.26 lakh.

The Verna is a feature-rich sedan and a lot of buyers go for the fully loaded top-end variants with features such as reverse camera, side and curtain airbags, smart key with illuminated start button and electrically foldable mirrors. Hence to push the sales of base variants, Hyundai is planning to offer the reverse camera as a standard feature.

Besides, the other reason could be to simplify the production process of the inside review mirror across all Verna variants. The inside rear view mirror in the top-end variants acts as display for the reverse camera as well. Hyundai is also planning to badge the base variants of the Verna as ‘EX’ similar to the top-end variants which carry the ‘SX’ badge. There are 10 variants of the Verna and the base variants include the Verna VTVT 1.4 and the Verna CRDi 1.4, so these variants may have the ‘EX’ badge on the rear boot lid.
