IMA scam accused Mansoor Khan’s Jaguar XF and Range Rover now rotting in police station

Earlier this year, I Monetary Advisory (IMA) scam accused Mansoor Khan’s properties and cars were seized by the authorities after he fled the country. While the cops have arrested the main accused in the scam, his vehicles have been spotted at a police station. The condition of the vehicles is bad.

The picture shared by T-BHP member Tharian shows both his vehicles parked outside a police station compound. The exact police station is not known but the vehicles are parled right on the side of a road. Both the vehicles were seized in June 2019 by the authorities. The Jaguar XF and the Land Rover Range Rover was seen in the picture are parked together and there is a thick layer of dust on them. This is often the case with the cars seized by the cops all over India.

Mansoor Khan is the main accused in a big scam that involves more than 23,000 investors. After he fled to UAE, his properties were raided and were sealed by the authorities. However, movable property like cars was impounded. He is accused of stealing more than Rs 5,600 crores through Ponzi schemes. Reports also suggest that in the future, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is expected to take over the case.

Before the lid blew off the scam, Mansoor Khan used to move around in expensive vehicles. The black coloured Jaguar XF was his favourite ride and he used it regularly. The SUV, Land Rover Range Rover was seized from a parking spot of the Bengaluru airport. The car was used by Mansoor to reach the airport when he fled the country and took refuge in UAE.

Interestingly, the Land Rover Range Rover owned by him was registered in Puducherry. Being a union territory, Puducherry offers extremely affordable registration prices when compared to the nearby states. This is why many expensive vehicles get registered in Puducherry using fake residence address and documents. In fact, many celebrities use vehicles that are registered in Puducherry and then use them in various other states. Even in Karnataka, where the car was regularly used the cops are quite strict about using out of station registered cars.

The white coloured Land Rover Range Rover used by Mansoor is an extremely luxurious SUV which is popular among the celebrities too. It gets powered by a 3.0-litre V6 diesel engine that produces a maximum power of 255 Bhp and peak torque of 600 Nm. The Jaguar XF gets the 2.0-litre diesel engine that produces a maximum power of 177 Bhp and peak torque of 430 Nm.

It should be noted that recently a court ordered the administration to auction the cars owned by DSK Group. The lawyer of DSK Group said that the cops are not taking proper care of the vehicles. The court then asked the police officials to either maintain the vehicles or auction them in the market.
