Indian cricketers lead a charmed lives, and high performance sportscars are very much a part of this equation. Piloting Audis and Lamborghinis, and Porsches and BMWs, these men love to live on the fast lane. Today, we take a look at the fast cars of five Indian cricketers, who’re known to be big petrol heads off the field.
Virat Kohli
Audi R8
Virat Kohli started his tryst with supercars in an Audi R8. Known as the practical man’s supercar, the R8 is a top seller in India, for it’s more affordable and accessible than the Ferraris and Lamborghinis of this world. The R8 is also more practically designed with everyday usability in mind, if a supercar can ever be designed for that.
Audi R8 LMX
Virat Kohli added the Audi R8 LMX to his supercar collection earlier this year. The LMX is a limited edition version of the R8, and is the most powerful one at that, what with its 5.2 liter, naturally aspirated V10 petrol motor putting out 570 Bhp and 540 Nm. Only 99 examples of the LMX will be built.
Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder
Earlier this year, Virat Kohli upped the ante, becoming the only Indian cricketer to own three supercars simultaneously. Kohli added some wind-in-the-hair performance to his supercar garage when he bought a pre-owned Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder home.
Yuvraj Singh
BMW E90 M3
Yuvraj Singh is another sportscar nut who eschews SUVs for fast, low slung sedans. The only SUV that Yuvraj owns is the Audi Q5, which was a gift from the automaker. The cricket star is often seen enjoying a wind-in-the-hair experience in the E90 BMW M3, a legendary car among enthusiast circles.
Lamborghini Murcielago
The Lamborghini Murcielago is the only supercar that Yuvraj Singh owns, and this car sees action mainly on the Buddh International Circuit, where it’s performance envelope can be fully exploited. Lamborghini’s flagship not so long ago, the Murcielago has over 600 thoroughbred Italian horses that can be exercised with the right foot.
E60 BMW M5
Apart from the E90 BMW M3, Yuvraj Singh’s other high performance yet everyday sportscar of choice is the E60 BMW M5. The M5 offers more space for its occupants and is seriously fast, delivering thrilling performance in an everyday package.

Now-retired cricketing great Sachin Tendulkar is a car nut, out and out. The man’s garage is legendary among cricketer circles. Tendulkar famously sold off his Ferrari 360 for a madder machine but one that’s more eminently usable – the Nissan GT-R.
F10 BMW M5
Sachin Tendulkar’s everyday sportscar is the F10 BMW M5, one that can switch from Jekkyl to Hyde at the flick of a switch. This four door sedan can seat five adults and rocket to 100 Kph from standstill in under 5 seconds. With a top speed limited to 250 Kph, the M5’s scintillating performance is more than sufficient for any road in the world.
Suresh Raina
Porsche Boxster
Suresh Raina owns a Porsche Boxster in canary yellow, a colour that somewhat suits him given the fact that he plays for the Chennai Superkings. The Boxster that Raina owns features a 3.6 liter V6 petrol engine, one that makes for a 0-100 Kph acceleration run in under 6 seconds, and a top speed of over 250 Kph.
